Hiromu Seifert is a Berlin-based Japanese-German drummer, composer, and
producer working at the intersection of jazz, groove-based music, improvisation,
and contemporary classical.


Rooted in multiple worlds — East and West / Art Music and the Mainstream — his
mission is to bring people together through music, creating work that inspires and
transcends.


Hiromu has performed internationally across Europe, the UK, Canada, the Middle
East, and Asia, with his compositions featured at venues and festivals including
Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Konzerthaus Berlin, Enjoy Jazz Festival, Berliner Festspiele
and on TV on SWR, arte and ARD.


He has worked with a diverse range of artists such as Ganavya, Nils Landgren, Andi Toma (Mouse on Mars), John Hollenbeck, Greg Cohen, Doug Weiss, Charles Overton, Wanja Slavin, Philipp Gropper, Philipp Gerschlauer, Niklas Lukassen, Bertram Burkert, Hani Mojtahedi, Tomoaki Baba, Marty Holoubek, Chicago House legend Robert Owens, ManosTsangaris, Robyn Schulkowsky, Stegreif Orchestra and members of the Bremen Philharmonic.

Hiromu's musical work has been recognized and supported by a.o. the doppelpunkt22 composition prize, working grant and several stipends by the Berlin Senate, pop stipend, concert21 academy, Banff centre for creative arts residency stipend, DOS stipend, 1st prize state at the nation competition of jugend musiziert.
